My old blog: Life in Oregon

Dedicated bookworm, music nerd, and social justice advocate. I process through writing and aspire to resurrect the side of me that blogs compulsively because I need it for my mental health. Not even kidding.

I am married to a bi-vocational pastor/software manager and we often lead worship together or alternately (him more than me) at our small suburban church. I love God and his church, theology & deep thoughts, relational connection, and quiet moments of real conversation with nothing else looming on the schedule. I know about grief, infertility & adoption loss, and little girls.

My husband and I are tremendously privileged to parent two beautiful daughters – Eliana Leigh, who came to us at birth through US infant adoption (2007) and Charlotte Felienne who joined our family at age 5 from the country of Haiti (2015).
